BIO :
Bursting onto the art creative scene in 2006, Maria Lankina is already being praised by critics for her vibrant passion and unique artistic sensibility. Lankina's artwork evokes a wide range of emotions and blurs the line between the commercial and the artistic. Forward thinking, rebellious, and fiery, there is little separating the artist from her craft. She is known for her reverberant and abstract expressionist mixed media works, painted by hand from her spontaneous subconscious. Lankina is herself passionate, mysterious, erotic, and as arresting as her creations. Raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, she has lived and traveled extensively around the world, and draws from this experience for her work. The former model's creative vision knows no bounds. Maria Lankina has studied art direction at the award winning Miami Ad School and is a professional photographer. Most recently Maria had appeared as herself in the docu-drama series MIAMI SOCIAL for Bravo TV - 2009, and PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT for Playboy TV- 2010. She lives and works in Miami Beach (USA), and Lugano (Switzerland), traveling wherever work takes her.
